From finding to closure

We help organizations respond to audit findings, monitoring letters, questioned or potentially questioned costs, weak documentation, procurement problems, control failures, and other public-funding compliance issues.

Our Approach

  • Stabilize the immediate issue and clarify the facts
  • Determine root cause and the broader control implications
  • Develop a corrective action plan and remediation workplan
  • Revise policies, procedures, controls, and documentation practices as needed
  • Train the staff responsible for the corrected process
  • Build an evidence file that documents corrective action
  • Perform follow-up testing and provide an executive closeout briefing

Transparent reconstruction, never backdating

Where records are incomplete, we may help reconstruct support using available evidence. Reconstructed records are clearly identified and documented. We do not fabricate, backdate, alter, or conceal records.

When specialized counsel or accounting support is needed

Some matters require legal counsel, independent accounting, engineering, cybersecurity, or other technical expertise. We can work alongside those professionals while remaining focused on the client's compliance systems and corrective implementation.

Routine monitoring of an established corrective action plan can be part of a Fractional Compliance Officer engagement. Material investigation, reconstruction, corrective action development, or major audit and agency response is separately scoped.
