Our Commitment

The Rural Impact Group is committed to ensuring that this website and all firm deliverables are accessible to people with disabilities. Reagan Lynch, the firm's Founder and Managing Director, is Blind and uses JAWS screen reader software as his primary interface with digital content. Every accessibility commitment this firm makes is grounded in direct, daily experience with the barriers that inaccessible content creates.

Standards We Follow

This website and all written deliverables are designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA conformance level. We also apply Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as a baseline requirement for all document deliverables.

Technical Implementation

This website is built with the following accessibility practices implemented by default.

All pages include a skip navigation link at the top of the page that allows keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation and move directly to the main content area.

All images that convey information include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes so screen readers skip them without announcing meaningless descriptions.

Heading structure is sequential and meaningful. Headings communicate the structure and hierarchy of the page content, not just its visual appearance.

All form fields have associated labels using explicit for-id relationships. Required fields are marked with both visual indicators and aria-required attributes. Error messages, when present, identify the field in error and describe what is needed.

Color is not the only means used to convey information. All meaningful distinctions are also communicated through text, shape, or position.

Interactive elements, including links and buttons, have sufficient color contrast against their backgrounds and include visible focus indicators that meet WCAG 2.2 AA focus appearance requirements.

Tables on this site are used only for genuinely tabular data. No tables are used for layout purposes.

Document Deliverables

All written deliverables produced by The Rural Impact Group, including reports, briefs, assessments, and guides, are produced in accessible formats. Deliverables in Word format use proper heading styles, list formatting, and alt text on any images. PDF deliverables include a text layer and are tagged for accessibility. Deliverables are not produced in formats that require color vision to interpret, and do not use decorative symbols, Unicode characters, or emoji that would be announced meaninglessly by a screen reader.

Known Limitations

We identify and address accessibility issues as they are discovered. If third-party content or embeds are used on this site, such as scheduling calendar tools, we select only providers that represent accessibility compliance. However, we cannot guarantee full accessibility of third-party services. Users who encounter barriers with any embedded third-party tool should contact us directly and we will arrange an alternative method to complete the same task.
